As PEGA D&E's newest leading product, Crease Light, enters World Design Expo to bring a shine to the exhibition. The Crease Light is manufactured with polypropylene material which makes it not only super light-weight but also strong. The material allows minimal manufacturing process and the patterns customized. The Lamp brightness is controlled through the integration of expanding or collapsing the lampshade.
The most intriguing characteristic of Crease Light is its customer-oriented design where custom patterns easily be applied to the product. To show that characteristic, PEGA D&E exhibited a wall full of Crease Light lampshade patterns painted by children. Through children's creativity and innocent touch, the acryl paint became a medium which made the wall come to life with serenity and warmth.
The children who painted the lampshades come from Chia-Yi Christian Hospital. This hospital is an institute which specializes in supporting children with development delays. Although these children may have their disadvantages, their strength to overcome hardship and challenges is no different than anyone else. We believe that aside from the support they are already receiving, it is important to help them build strength and self-esteem.
When visitors are touched by the strength of these children, they can leave a word of encouragement on the message board to the right. The cloud-shaped post-its show these children that their work is recognized and they can also dream bright and free like everyone else. At the end of the 2011 World Design Expo, this wall will become a gift to Chia-Yi Christian Hospital as a memory of the achievements of these creative children.
The exhibition "Dreaming with Love" presents the perfect opportunity for these children to show evidence of their creativity at an international event. PEGA D&E aims not only to encourage these children but also motivate society to show love to the people in need.
